Yep, my mom, who probably loves this dog just about as much as I do, bought these stairs so she can see what’s going on. I’m tempted to get this Dog Booster Seat, because she loves going on rides and barking at everyone she sees. LOL
Sharing a little puppy story: The moment that I saw Cinnaman’s tiny, dramatic, adorable puppy face at the pet store, I knew that she was meant to be mine. So, I went home that very same day, and asked my hubby and kids if they wanted to go to the pet place and see the new puppies. Needless to say, when we got to Cinnaman’s cage, I pretended like I had never seen her before.
She was busy jumping on the bigger puppy that was in the cage with her, which was funny, because she was no bigger than the palm of my hand. I knew by the look on my hubby’s face, that she was coming home with us. 🙂
Doxie Ice Cube Tray
Ok, this Doxie ice-cube tray is really cute, and useful, but would make the perfect budget friendly gift for around $10 I’m also loving this Dachshund cookie cutter and cake pan.
Dachshund Through The Snow Black Phone Case
I really liked all the Dachshund Through the Snow sweatshirt and t-shirts that I saw on sale last year, and this cell phone case available at e-Bay is even better.
My puppies absolutely love to travel, and this small travel bag has it all. I really like the convenient water and food bowls that are provided, easily go on the zip down platform. Of course, I wish those little Terriers were little dachshunds, but it’s still really cute, and it also comes in other solid colors.
I have black cloth seats in my little Honda fit, and whenever I take my dogs out for a trip, their hair gets all over the place. My really smart mom has this back seat car cover which helps the hair and anything else the dogs like to step in off the seats. Hint: This would make a perfect gift for me. 🙂
Sterling Silver Dachshund Pendant Necklace
I love theme inspired jewelry and accessories, and this since were talking Dachshunds, this sterling silver pendant necklace from BlingJewelry.com is the perfect Doxie lover gift. I also love their Paws Off sterling silver bracelet which has plenty of bones & paws. Super cute.
Snoozies Dachshund Slippers
Ok, these pink Doxie slippers are just too darn cute, and something that I would wear proudly, even outside for all my neighbors to enjoy! (I admit, I do that once in a while). They also have other Snoozies slippers that are really funny, including sushi, wine lovers, and martini.
These are just a few really precious, fun, and fabulous Dachshund gift ideas, and I know that there is a huge Doxie community out there, who enjoy sharing their love for their Weiner dogs. If you know of other really unique gift ideas, please let me know in the comments below, or simply share a pic of your little one.
Have you ever taken a stroll down memory lane and looked at your past Halloween costumes? Well, I thought that I would take the scary plunge and share some of my crazy, frightful, and goofy moments in time below.

My hubby and I spent our first Halloween party together in 1993, and we decided to dress up as each other. I did my best to transform him into a beautiful lady with make-up, long, painted, finger nails, and panty hose. All I remember is how silly we looked, and we both laughed our butts off whenever he had to go to the bathroom.
This one just cracks me up, because I can clearly remember those fake eye lashes making me want to scratch my eyes out from itching so much! But, oh how I loved my long, hot pink hair, and bling! Also, the glittery sweater and skirt was an outfit that I saved from my grandmother. Heck, my “Grams” didn’t realize what a diva she really was.
I’m truly blessed to have a soul mate, that’s just as silly as I am, and willing to put himself out there for the whole world to see. I really enjoyed putting the pirate inspired make-up on the two of us spooky pirates, and I thought we looked like brothers.
I chose to go a little Bat-Glam with this cute black, bat, choker and the brightest Halloween orange top I could find. I work in a medical office during the day, and this paired really well with my black scrub pants. 🙂
And finally, I had to share my daughter’s Geek Girl costume from 2011. Every time I see this, it makes me chuckle, because she really played her part well. Except, the finger up her nose is kind of gross.
I hope you liked some of my Halloween pictures through the years, and I only wish that I would have had more from my childhood. It’s really kind of cool that we can take a picture, and share it instantly with our family and friends.
In fact, all the pictures above were ones that had been posted by me or others on Facebook and Instagram. I then noticed that I’ve been on FB since 2008, and I can literally see a slide show of my family & friends grow up through the years. It really is kind of special, and I hope that you all of a safe and spooktacular Halloween week and night.
Please share your Halloween costumes of the past with me, by commenting below or add a link, so I can see what crafty creations you all of come up with over the years.

1. Fairy Lights
If you haven’t discovered the magic of fairy lights, your really missing out.
I have one plugged in year round, like the picture above, and below is the light strand that I bought on Amazon for $10.
Super Saving Tip: You can get micro LED battery operated light sets and add them to a mason jar, wine bottle, or any vintage glassware. It’s a great way to decorate and personalize any themed celebration.
2. Lighted Canvas Prints
I purchased this LED musical snowman at my local craft store, and it brought some elegance to my Christmas theme, in fact I love it so much, I left it up all through the entire winter season.
I also like how you don’t need to plug it in, and this allows you to literally place it anywhere in your home. You can find some great pictures and prices on Amazon, e-Bay, or Led Holiday Canvas Wall Art – Walmart.com
3. Holiday Light Projectors
Star Shower Slide Show
I’m 49 years old, and I’m over hanging outdoor Christmas lights! I don’t like putting them up or taking them down, so the newer holiday projector lights have become my best friend, and here’s why:
● With the switch of a button, you can change your holiday season. Halloween, Christmas, or other celebrations.
● You just stick it in the ground and point it where you want it to shine.
● It has an on and off timer, so you don’t have to worry about turning it off.
● It’s cheaper in the long run, and I don’t have to replace light bulbs.
Of course, you can also make it really, really, easy and get some really fun inflatable lawn ornament, such as this Christmas Doxie.
These are just a few inexpensive ways that I use to add some fun seasonal decor, and I would love to know what all of you do. So, leave a comment or link below so that I can all of your bright ideas.
