Quick Fix Solution To Brassy Blonde Hair!

I’ve been hi-lighting my hair blonde since 8th grade, which was in 1982, so I guess you could say that I know a thing or two about hair color!  I am also a retired cosmetologist who has seen quite a few hair colors go wrong, and the worse being brassy blonde hair, which isn’t too pretty.  🙁   It can be really frustrating when your blonde frocks don’t turn out right, but thanks to a Paris hair care system called, DESSANGE, (California Blonde), there’s a quick, fix, solution to get rid of that brassy blonde hair color.  Check out my video review below!!

(Just so you know…..I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes, but all of the expressed opinions are my own)

I hope you enjoyed my video review, and below is a few pics of the same color treament on my daughter’s hair.

As you can see it toned down the brassiness, illuminated her blonde coloring, and my daughter loved how soft, conditioned, and shiny her hair was.  🙂

Coppertone’s New Clearly Sheer Sunscreen

It’s been SUNNY and HOT here in East Tennessee these past couple of weeks, and I am so thankful that my friends at BzzAgent sent me some samples and coupons of Coppertone’s New Clearly Sheer sunscreen to try, share, and review.   Since I spend a lot of time outside digging in my garden, working on DIY projects, and going to different outdoor events on the weekends, it’s extremely important that I apply some sunscreen, and for a good reason.

A couple of years ago my doctor noticed a unusal spot on my skin, he removed it, and had it tested.  To my surprise it came back pre-cancerous, which was a huge wake up call, and ever since then I have been faithful about applying sunscreen.

The biggest problem that I have had with most sunscreens, is the heavy, greasy, feeling that it leaves behind after I apply it, which doesn’t work well under my make-up.  So, I was eager to try Copperstone’s Clearly Sheer sunscreen, and here’s my take away:

There are two choices to choose from, depending on what you’re doing that day.  If you’re heading to the beach or pool, you will need the Beach & Pool with 50 SPF which is made to stay on your skin for up to 80 minutes when your swimming & splashing around.

  Coppertone Beach And Pool

If your running around town or want to add some protection under your make up, the Sunny Days with SPF 30 is your choice.  Both sunscreens have a light, fresh, scent which isn’t overbearing, and they melt right into your skin without leaving a greasy layer behind, which means that it doesn’t clog those pores and cause skin problems.  Yay!!!!!   (The Coppertone Sunny Days blended really well under my make-up, which is a huge thumbs up for me).  I gave several of my friends some samples of Clearly Sheer, and all have reported back to me the same results that I have found, super sun protection without feeling like it.

Dark Spots Fading With Lancome DreamTone!

DreamTone Dark Spot Corrector

This past year I turned 45, and I’m okay with getting older, but not thrilled with the signs of aging that I am beginning to see on my face.   You know….brown spots, uneven skin tone, ruddiness, and the once cute laugh lines, are now permanent.  Well, since I can’t stop laughing, at least I have some hope for the other skin imperfections that I have.  🙂 And, thanks to being a member of SheSpeaks I was asked if I wanted to sample a bottle of a dark spot corrector called DreamTone by Lancome.   You know I did!!!!

Here are the featured benefits of the DreamTone Customized Dark Spot Corrector:

Visible Correction Over Time:

• Your dark spots will look diminished

• You will see a more even skin tone

• Imperfections like redness, sallowness and acne marks are visibly reduced

Dermatologist-Tested for safety
Ophthalmology Control

Here are the results of a study that Lancome conducted:

IMMEDIATELY:  • 74% saw glowing skin* 7 DAYS:  • 70% noticed a more even skin tone* 4 WEEKS: • 69% saw the appearance of dark spots reduced* 8 WEEKS:  • 78% saw color imperfections reduced*

*All results based on global self-assessments of women of multiple ethnicities in an 8-week study. 72% reflects 8 weeks of use.

It also comes in 3 different custom tones, and I would ask a Lancome specialist to help with picking the right tone for different skin needs.

  • # 1  Fair: Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and provides specific color correction for the look of redness    (#1 is mine)
  • # 2. Medium: Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and provides specific color correction for the look of sallowness (olive)
  • # 3. Dark: Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and provides specific color correction for the look of acne & blemish marks

Ok, as much as I don’t want to do this, here is a #bareselfie picture of my face with no make-up.  This was taken outside my work, in the natural daylight on November 4th.   Notice the brown, patchy, spots on my forehead.

Now, here is a picture of me taken this morning at 3 weeks out!  Notice how much the brown spots have faded!!!  How awesome is this, and so FAST!!

DreamTone Serum Week 3

So, here’s my scoop on Dreamtone…..Like many of you, I am always on the go, and I don’t like to spend too much time on my daily beauty regimen.   So, I love that I only have to cleanse my face, apply the DreamTone, and then my daily moisturizer twice a day.  It’s super simple, fast, and seeing those dark spots fade away, in such a short amount of time, is so worth it!

The cost of DreamTone is $98.00 for a 1.3 fl.oz bottle, which may seem like a lot, but a little goes a long way and the fact that it doesn’t irritate my skin is a huge plus.  I have tried other dark spot correctors, which smelled like bleach, burned my skin, and didn’t do a thing to battle those dark spots.  So, if you have the same type of skin that I do, or nothing else has seemed to work, I would most certainly recommend that you give Dreamtone a try.  Bottom line is, Lancome has been around for years, and there’s a reason why, there products are top-notch and they work.

Finally, since I am only at the end of week 3,  I have no doubt that I will reach wonderful, optimal, spot free results by week 8.  I look forward to not having to apply make-up every single day to cover up these dark spots.

Again, I don’t mind getting older, but just like many other women my age,  I don’t want to age too fast, and if there are ways to diminish some of the signs of aging, I’m going to darn well give it a try!  Thank you to SheSpeaks & Lancome for sending me the DreamTone Customized Dark Spot Corrector to try, because it is a fantastic product that is working for me!  I’m doing my happy dance….
