Here’s what I do know about most guys, including mine, that they love their techie gifts and sharing it with others. For instance, I suppose I shouldn’t get embarrassed when my hubby is walking around the grocery store with his new bluetooth headset, and pretending like he is listening to what I’m saying. Or, how every time he opens a gadget package, he reverts to a little boy, with big ole eyes, a huge smile, and starry gaze. LOL
In fact, his love of techie gadgets goes back a long way…..here’s my guy in high school wearing a Sony Walkman from 1984! Seriously, it amazes me how far we have come in technology! 🙂
So, if you have one of these kind of guys in your life, whether it be a father, hubby, step-dad, brother, son, or friend, it’s ok, because they truly are a blessing, that work hard to take care of all of us, and they deserve a little time to play. So, in honor of Fathers Day, I thought that I would share some of the recent techie gifts that my guy had to have, or REALLY wants in the future. Check them out below:
Headphones
Headphones have come a long way, you can get them wired, wireless, in the ear, over the ear, with mics, waterproof, sports, and even in a knit hat like this one on Amazon. ($28) The best part is that all of the bluetooth headsets connect to your music apps on your phone or player, so that you can get your custom groove on. Work it now!
Mydeal Bluetooth Knit Hat Headset
My hubby and I like to go to the gym or walk outside, but we both prefer different types of headphones. He likes these wireless, around the ear headphones such as the ones below. ($69-$100)
Skullcandy Hesh 2 Bluetooth Wireless Headphones
He doesn’t like the wireless, in the ear buds like I do, but if you’re looking for a quality set, with super sound and price, here’s my suggestion for around $22 at Amazon.
SoundPEATS Bluetooth Wireless In-ear Stereo Earbuds
Activity Sports Watch
We are in our late 40’s and getting and staying fit is really important for both of us, and I know there are a lot of guys out there, no matter what age they are, feel the same way. The biggest trend at the moment is getting a Apple Sports Watch, which runs around $299 and up! If you like all the bells & whistles then please go for the Apple watch, but if your on a budget, and want a super, smart, sports watch, without the hefty price tag, the Fitbit Blaze for around $199 is the next best choice.

Wireless Bluetooth Speakers
Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker
My guy is always on go, partly because he is a petroleum tanker driver, and an avid fisherman. I bought this Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker for him this last Christmas and he loves it. It’s just the right size, with quality sound, and perfect for when he’s in his truck or out on the boat. ($100-120)
And finally…..if your guy is truly a gadget geek then a tablet is a must have. We both have iPad’s and love them, but he really likes to watch movies on our Amazon Fire HD 6, and if I need a larger tablet, the Fire HD 10, is next on our list. It’s got a large viewing screen, plenty of speed, and for only $229 a super price. Besides, we have Amazon Prime and love how easy it is to use these benefits with this tablet.

I could possibly go all night about the awesome techie gifts out there for Dad’s, because let’s face it, there’s gaming, tools, computers, action cameras, shavers, and even fancy dancy toothbrushes!
Geez….. I also know that whatever you find, you will keep in mind, how special each and every one of them are, and if all you have to give is a simple hug, they will surely appreciate that too! Thank you to all the Dad’s out there, and Happy Father’s Day!
