I happened to be going through my teen daughters closet this weekend, and I couldn’t believe all the different tote, drawstring, and zipper bags that she had. (In fact, I don’t even know where she got half of them). Although, I have to admit that I’m probably just as bad as she is, because I love getting a new tote bag, especially if it comes with a matching zipper pouch. In fact, I’ve been searching for a sewing machine so that I can learn how to quilt, or maybe make my own personalized bags and give them for gifts this holiday season. My mother is a seamstress, and she is a big fan of the Brother sewing machines, so I have found this Brother CS6000i Feature-Rich Sewing Machine With 60 Built-In Stitches, 7 styles of 1-Step Auto-Size Buttonholes, Quilting Table, and Hard Cover and it’s calling my name at $143.00, plus I will get free 2-day shipping with my Amazon Prime membership.
Since it’s been many, many, many years since I actually sewed anything…..(I’m talking like highschool, when I made some cheetah skorts, can you tell I’m an 80’s babe)? LOL
I thought that I would start with taking these two online sewing classes that I posted about last year. Here’s the link if you are interested:
Free Online Bag & Tote Sewing Classes
AND…..maybe if I get good enough, I will take this “Quilt As You Go Patchwork Bag” online class below:
I’m always willing to learn how to do something new, and I can’t wait to see how these DIY tote, drawstring, and zipper pouches turn out! Geez….I might not want to do this because I may want to keep them all. 🙂
Just so you know, that some of the links above are my referral links, and I may get a small commission if you decide to click on them. I thank you for your support, and please let me know if you are planning on sewing some crafty creations this holiday season.
