I am a DIYer and have a deep appreciation for those of you who like to create your own costumes, so here is some creative ideas that were put together by incredibleinfact.com.  My favorite is this little dragon costume made with cut out green sponges that you can get at The Dollar Tree for a $1 a pack.  Seriously creative and cheap!

I couldn’t resist sharing this little owl costume.  When my little guy was this age my mom made him a little pig outfit with a snout on top of his head.  We took him to the mall and pulled him around with a rope on a stroller from store to store, and we had a blast.   Of course, my guy is now 18 and doesn’t want those pictures being shown today!  🙂

My mother is the sewing guru in our family, and I was fortunate enough that she would make my children’s costumes, like this poodle outfit above, with all the little details.  It’s fun to go back in time and see all the pictures of  the cool outfits she made, and if you’re not a sewing queen you can still get the same look with this online buy at around $30.
