I hope that everyone had a wonderful time last night ringing in the New Year with all of your family and friends. As I began to write this post, I couldn’t help but think about what a bumpy roller coaster ride my family and I had in the 2012 year! We survived the loss of my husband’s job after six years of employment, my grandmother was diagnosed with a rare lung cancer, and my son turned 16 and hasn’t gotten into a car accident yet! (knock on wood!) I have always been a bargain shopper, but this past year I had to find realistic ways to help my family get through some pretty tough times financially. So, I learned how to coupon, grow my own garden, can my own produce, and took advantage of the great buys online. I also started SuperGirlSavings this past summer, and it has been a wonderful way for this social girl to share my savings tips and tricks, and connect with others who are on the same path.
In 2013 I look forward to bringing you some blog posts about this “Girl” remodeling her own bathroom, refinishing some ugly, brown furniture, and sharing realistic, honest, product reviews and services that may be of benefit to you and your family. I want to thank the new online business associates and friends that I have had the opportunity to meet, they all have been inspirational and gracious in sharing their expertise with me. In closing, I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year, and I hope that you are successful in your 2013 goals and savings adventures.
